Job Summary: As a Private Duty Live-In Caregiver with Extended Hands, you will play a vital role in providing continuous care and support to our clients who require 24/7 assistance. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication management, companionship, and ensuring a safe home environment. This role requires empathy, strong communication skills, and a dedication to improving the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.

  2. Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed and ensure clients take them on time, following healthcare instructions.

  3. Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in meaningful conversations, and create a comfortable and engaging environment for the client.

  4. Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring the client's dietary needs are met.

  5. Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living space.

  6. Safety: Ensure the client's home is free from hazards, and promptly address any safety concerns.

  7. Transportation: Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and outings as necessary.

  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration, daily activities, and any changes in the client's condition.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required.

  • Compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to improve the lives of others.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, understanding, and the ability to actively engage with clients.

  • Reliability and punctuality.

  • Ability to adapt to different client needs and preferences.

  • Ability to live in the client's home for designated shifts (typically 24-hour shifts with breaks).
